Serving Liberia by providing dedicate, unchallenged, reliable and functional airport services for economic growth, while enhancing customer satisfaction, safety and security. Through this mission, we aim to address public needs with professionalism and dedication.
Our Vision
We envision a dynamic domestic air transport network and a modern world-class international airport serving as a cargo hub, surrounded by a thriving airport city with state-of-the-art facilities, with a professional workforce capable of handling approximately 1,000,000 passengers per annual, and a system suitable to deliver quality air services to airlines and passengers, in compliance with International Standards and recommended practices. This vision reflects our commitment to long-term improvements in public service and to promoting an inclusive, responsive government.
Our Mandate
We have the responsibility for the supervision and management of all airports (RIA, Spriggs Payne Airport and all Domestic Airstrips) and their facilities in Liberia, in accordance with international standards and recommended practices.
Corporate Governance
The Liberia Airport Authority is a State Own Enterprise that manages all airports (Robert International Airport, James Spriggs Payne Airport and other Domestic Airstrips) in Liberia, govern by a 2009 legislative act under the supervision of the board of Directors.
The Liberia Airport Authority shall conduct its operations in alignment with the Government of Liberia’s policies on contracts and business agreements. It shall follow due process procedures consistent with national regulations and global best practices in the international aviation sector.
All business and service contracts will be handled transparently and in accordance with established government guidelines, including those of the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission.
Business Policies
The Liberia Airport Authority (LAA) operates in full compliance with the policy guidelines of the Government of Liberia. These principles guide all of our business dealings, contracts, and agreements with contractors, service providers, and other partners.
We welcome partnerships with the private sector to help deliver modern infrastructure, quality facilities, and efficient services that strengthen Liberia growing aviation industry.
