Immediate Priorities
Under the leadership of Hon. Jero H. Mends-Cole, our focus is on achieving ICAO certification for Roberts International Airport (RIA) and addressing critical infrastructure needs. Key projects include:
- Expanding the passenger terminal to handle growing traffic.
- Enlarging the apron and taxiway for increased aircraft movements.
- Rehabilitating four domestic airports to restore air transport across Liberia.
Medium-Term Vision
Hon. Mends-Cole is committed to building a stronger, sustainable aviation sector through:
- A state-of-the-art aircraft hangar for storage, routine maintenance, and overhaul.
- An airport solar farm to provide clean, cost-effective energy.
Shaping the Future
Looking ahead, plans include:
- A new terminal to meet rapid passenger growth.
- The creation of an “Airport City” – a modern hub integrating business, logistics, and lifestyle opportunities.
